FAQs are great—they give you official answers without having to search the web. Microsoft is now adding one right into Windows 11. A new “Frequently Asked Questions” section is rolling out as part of the Windows 11 24H2 update. You can already try it if you are in the Windows Insider Program.
Windows 11 24H2 tells you about your GPU, RAM, and a lot more via a new FAQs section bundled in the Settings app
The FAQs section was first spotted by @phantomofearth late in March. Now, folks over at Windows Latest reported seeing the FAQs section buried inside the Settings app in Windows 11. You can access it by going to Settings > System > About. Don’t expect more from it, as you’ll find information mostly about your PC’s hardware.
You can find questions like, “Is my GPU good enough for gaming?” “How does RAM affect performance?” “Am I on the latest version of Windows?” Not to forget, the FAQs section in the Windows 11 Settings app also checks your system specs to give relevant answers.
For example, if your GPU has less than 4GB of memory, the system will flag it as not ideal for high-end games or editing work. Frankly speaking, the answers are quite basic, but they’re tied to your actual setup.
Microsoft says it wants this to help beginners figure out what their hardware can actually handle. We expect Microsoft to add more questions to the FAQs section in Windows 11. Anyway, it’s a helpful move, especially for users who don’t know where to begin when it comes to specs.
The FAQ page is available now in Dev and Beta channels and will roll out to everyone with Windows 11 24H2 soon. It’s worth noting that the latest Windows 11 Beta build also added AI agents in the Settings app. The new feature is available immediately to the Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs.
