If you were wondering how well the Nintendo Switch 2 would do, here’s your answer. Nintendo says it’s already sold over 3.5 million units globally in just four days, making it the company’s fastest-selling console ever. That’s more than the original Switch managed back in 2017. So yeah, this thing’s flying off the shelves.

What’s Nintendo Switch 2 packing?

The Switch 2 isn’t just a spec bump. It’s got a bigger 1080p screen, supports 4K when docked, and runs on faster internals that make games look and feel better. The new Joy-Con 2 controllers are magnetic and now come with built-in mouse support, which is a weirdly handy touch.

There’s also a new feature called GameChat. It lets you voice or video chat and even share your game screen with friends. Think Discord, but built right into the system.

Launched with Mario Kart, Donkey Kong’s up next

Switch 2 launched with Mario Kart World, a massive open-style racer with dynamic weather, 24-player support, and some wild new tracks. It’s already a hit.

Next month, Donkey Kong Bananza drops—a new 3D platformer that looks like classic Nintendo chaos in the best way. It’s out July 17. The console starts at $449.99. You can also grab it in a bundle with Mario Kart World for $499.99. You can check all the details here.
