May 2025 Patch Tuesday finally brings Recall & other AI features to Copilot+ PCs

Microsoft’s May 2025 Patch Tuesday updates are now live for all supported versions of Windows 11 and Windows 10. For Windows 11 version 24H2, the KB5058411 update, pushed as part of May 2025 Patch Tuesday, brings new AI features like Recall and Click to Do on Copilot+ PCs. It also expands the AI-powered search experience to Intel and AMD Copilot+ PCs.

Although May 2025 Patch Tuesday updates bring Recall and Click to Do feature, they won’t show up right away due to phased rollout. As you may know, the controversial Recall feature lets you go back to find what you have seen before on your PC.
After a massive backlash from security experts, Microsoft now offers it as an opt-in feature. On top of that, everything is stored locally, are encrypted, and requires authentication via Windows Hello.
Next AI feature that’s being pushed with May Patch Tuesday updates is Click to Do, which helps you take action on anything visible on your screen. You can simply press the Windows key and click, or use Windows + Q, and you’ll see what you can interact with. It also works through the updated Snipping Tool and the Taskbar Search box.
The May 2025 Patch Tuesay updates also enables improved AI Windows Search. Copilot+ PCs can now use natural language to find files, settings, or photos across your PC and OneDrive. There’s a new section in Settings where you can manage which apps can show action suggestions.
Windows 11 version 23H2 KB5058405 update adds a few new features too
If you’re still on Windows 11 version 23H2, the KB5058405 patch brings other changes. Narrator now includes a Speech Recap feature so you can review and copy what was last said. The Start menu adds a Phone Link sidebar, and File Explorer gets a new Home layout with faster ZIP file support and better scaling for large text.
Widgets are also getting some attention with the recent May 2025 Patch Tuesday updates. Developers can now build web-based widgets for both the Widgets board and the Lock screen. If you live in the EU, you get EU even more options to customize the Lock screen weather widget.
Windows 10 version 22H2 KB5058379 mostly includes security fixes
Windows 10 version 22H2 gets the KB5058379 patch. This update is mostly about security fixes, including a longer blocklist of vulnerable drivers used in known attacks. These updates are rolling out now. Most users will get them automatically, but you can check manually by going to Settings > Windows Update.
