Xbox Game Pass may have crossed 35 million subscribers sometime in mid-2024, based on a LinkedIn listing spotted by user Timur222 (via GameRant). Microsoft hasn’t officially confirmed the number or timing, but the milestone lines up with previous growth trends.

The service turned eight on June 1. Microsoft last shared a firm number—34 million—in early 2024. Before that, updates were more frequent, but subscriber growth has slowed in recent years. Now, the company tends to highlight growth in specific segments, like PC Game Pass, rather than the full total.

Industry estimates suggest the platform may now have over 38 million users. That would match the record revenue Microsoft recently reported for Xbox Game Pass, though no specific earnings were disclosed.

Microsoft will likely wait for a round number—40 million or more—before giving another official update. Until then, it’s loading the service with big titles from the Xbox Games Showcase, including Ninja Gaiden 4, which drops in late 2025.
